TARDIS cluster has one head node and 36 computational nodes built by Atipa.

Head node

Head node is visible to the outside world through an Ethernet port. All communication with the cluster goes through the head node.

Computational nodes

There are 36 computational nodes. Nodes are not visible from the outside and can only be accessed through the head node.

Inteconnect

Head node is connected to the Internet via gigabit Ethernet adapter.
Head and computational nodes are connected via a private gigabit Ethernet. The file system is mounted with NFS over the private Ethernet.
Computational nodes are connected via low latency InfiniBand interconnect used for high speed node-node communication in communication-intensive MPI applications.
